To start we will be looking at the sub-assemblies that make up your XR28™ Sharpener.

The XR28™ Sharpener can be broken down into four (4) major sub-assemblies.

The XR28™ housing/body is the biggest of the six sub-assemblies and is comprised of several smaller assemblies. This body is the base of your sharpener and houses all other components.

The hood attached at the top provides some extra protection when closed and much needed light when open. |

The incomming 24-48VDC power supply connects here, with the easy to reach E-stop, ON and OFF buttons. |

On the XR28™ the sharpening head contains all the important components, such as the feed pressure, orbital rotation, control board, RFID scanner, main motor and puller splash guard.

On the XR28™ the feed pressure is controlled by the linear actuator which is located behind the sharpening head. |

The orbital rotation, control board and RFID scanner are all located in the sharpening head. |

The main sharpening motor and puller splash guard round out this assembly, with a newly added light. |

The bit table locks connects and locks to the housing during transportation and when idle, and has a range of movement when required, even being able to tilt to a maximum of 45 degrees.

The easy to use handles allow for quick clamping of bits. |

The XR28™ comes standard with a built in water recycling system.
|
The water recycling system consists of a filter built into the water bag which attaches to the bit table. This consistently provides clean water to the sharpening system. |

The built in water pump attaches to the housing and has an auto flush function to prevent damage due to freezing conditions. |
